About
Based in his native city of Atlanta, Jooyoung Chang is a Korean-American painter whose practice revolves around the concepts of loneliness, piety, and social expectations. Through the use of the figure, luscious colors, and cultural allusions, he attempts to navigate the tumultuous relationship between his upbringing, rigid culture, and queer identity. He received his BFA from Georgia State University, and primarily works in oil and digital.
